If we talk about the level of equipment, then this model is cheaper than the previous generation by about 100 thousand yen.
 
Exterior and interior
In the appearance of the previous model, signs of a sports and passenger car were balanced in a ratio of 50:50. In this sense, in the new model there is a feeling that the overall ratio was somewhat shaken towards a sports car. The sensation of the stability of the lower part, generated by a large width of 1780 mm, as well as a sensation of a dense frame due to two types of rear racks makes the power that was not in the previous model.
In the interior, this trend is even stronger. There is a complete difference from the previous model, almost 100% aimed at giving the type of passenger car, and a rough form is striking in the eye. These, for example, are oblong details to the right and left of the central console. In fact, these are the levers of the parking brake (of course, from the driver's place), but with focus on the appearance of a car, such a rough design is impossible. As for the multibox with the functions of maintaining temperature and cooling, with high attention to quality it is usually closed with a lid.
It is clear the desire to give the car the features of a sports car, but it is regretted that the result is such a rough and low -quality interior. European and American sports cars are also clearly rude, but they also have an atmosphere that pleases the soul. This can be understood if you look, for example, around the driver's seats on Ford Explorer or Land Rover Freelander models. It seems that this is a lack of experience in creating sports cars.
From the point of view of amenities, the great news was an increase in the carrying capacity as a result of adding a sliding mechanism (170 mm) to the rear seat and lowering the floor of the luggage compartment (by 120 mm). In addition to this, comfort also increased due to an increase in the length of the passenger compartment by 65 mm and an increase in the size of the seats.
 
Performance
Compared to the previous generation, the engine and chassis underwent a greater evolution. The K20A engine, familiar in the Honda StepWGN model, is used. It is at the top world level among the current 2-liter-class engines, and three such important factors as fuel consumption, power and purity are carefully balanced in it. It is noteworthy that at the beginning of movement, noise has significantly decreased. When moving around the city, the sound of the engine is almost not felt, and besides, acceleration is easily performed. In addition to low engine, dense torque at low and medium speed reduces the cleanliness of the failures. In turn, low noise increases in accordance with the restraint of the growth of revolutions. Thus, favorable interdependence develops. At the same time, the front -wheel drive modification gives out a particularly calm sound. In all -wheel drive modifications, the sound becomes more muddy in accordance with how much noise is added from the drive system.
The impression of pedals can be conveyed with these words: if the legs were more stable to adverse tires with an expensive weak one, so when turning, excessive efforts do not bring effect, however, when moving at a normal pace, a sensation of high stability appears. A particularly acute sensation from steering occurs in the front -wheel drive modification. In all -wheel drive modifications, a feeling of flexibility appears, as if rubber is twisted, and some discomfort occurs on a winding road. If there is no need to travel on snow -covered roads, then the front -wheel drive modification will be a very suitable choice.
