Comparative Mitsubishi Lancer X and Honda Civic 5D

In each of these cars there is something that makes people turn after them. This was especially noticeable when cars had just appeared on the Russian market, although now curious views for the owners of Mitsubishi Lancer X and Honda Civic 5d are not new.
Perhaps these two cars compete with each other not so clearly. Still, they are intended for a slightly different contingent of buyers, at least so conceived from the very beginning. However, as practice shows, the dilemma of choice between this Honda and Mitsubishi often faces a person with the desired amount of money.
Outwardly, it is difficult to compare two competitors. Civic has a truly cosmic design, with triangular elements and closed continuous glass with a false radiator grille. It is more like a flying saucer adapted to the standards of an undeveloped world than a regular car. When all cities are filled with glass skyscrapers, and ordinary houses will become history, it is such cars that will be reflected in the windows of newfold stores. That's perhaps the idea of \u200b\u200bhiding the hind hands on the rear doors as part of the windows of the new one cannot be called. Alfa Romeo used this move in 90s. And the plastic sticker on the gas tank looks clumsy. Does a spaceship need a kid's tuning?! Yes, and the black external coloring does not go Honda Civic, it hides all the interesting parts of the body, swallowing the light falling on the car.
Lancer X looks even more impressive in contrast with its previous generation. This is especially true for the car in the factory body kit. Many for sure, in order to meet the planned amount, they will decide more to buy a car with a smaller engine, but necessarily in a body kit. This Mitsubishi looks less futuristic than Civic, but more aggressive and sports. But what's in common with these machines is anti -wing, seriously interfering with a review in the rearview mirror.
Lancer X can be compared with some models of other manufacturers. With Volvo or Lexus is, so Civic looks more unique, not counting comparison with Alfa Romeo.
In general, not a single car receives the advantages of weighing, or rather, at an external examination. They are very different, it all depends only on the personal preferences of the chosen one.
Further, the competition of helpfulness, that is, which of the rivals will please the jury to the jury, which will amaze the inner world of the contestants. The wheeled base of the competitors is exactly the same: 2 635 mm, but it seems that in the Civic place is a little larger, although it can be a deceptive impression inspired by the fact that Honda looks smaller outside, so you do not expect a large internal volume from it. The three -time fact is not very convenient from behind, which is in one car, in another.
As for the interior decoration, it fully corresponds to the appearance of both cars. In Civic, everything is still futuristic, with a hint of space: the cabin of a starship, not otherwise. Ergonomics of devices at a high level: three monitors are equidistant to the driver. The closest to the windshield is a large digital speedometer. If you get used to it, then the data from it can be read by peripheral vision without taking your eyes off the road to the monitor. To this space cabin to add modern materials that are used in fashionable interiors and digital devices. But despite the ultramodern design, materials and colors are too traditional for the automotive of black plastic.
Lancer inside looks noticeably easier. There are interesting details like the trope and doors to the carbon, but in general the salon, of course, is easier. Although everything you need is here: an on -board computer, heating the seats. True, the Civic responds to the CD-chamber included in the Lancer X set.
In this competition, Honda Civic won with a slight advantage.
Well, there was another test ahead: power. Despite the fact that the Honda is equipped with a 1.8 engine, and Mitsubishi is 2-liter, and the difference in horsepower is 10, the dynamics of cars are quite comparable. Civic accelerates to 100 km/h in 10.9 seconds, and Lancer in 10.5. Both cars behave perfectly on the road, however, both have a little empty steering wheel, Honda has a greater extent. In addition, Civic, with a sharp press of the gas pedal, throws to the side. Honestly, it is more pleasant to manage Mitsubishi, however, the ESP system, very necessary for the snow winter, is also included in any configuration, due to this, there is also a draw in this competition.
Fuel consumption during active driving for both cars is approximately the same: in the region of 10-12 liters. In Lancer X, he is slightly larger, literally half a liter-liter.
The most interesting is the confrontation of robotic mechanics on Honda and the variator on Mitsubishi. Civic is annoying to the seemingly endless seconds between switching, but it works quietly. But the interaction of the shir-engine on the Lancer X could only be applauded, if not one but: at high speeds (and due to the specifics of the variator, the arrow of the tachometer often exceeds 3-4 thousand revolutions) begins to irritate the sound of the engine. It is not clear that the point here is not the best sound insulation motor compartment or precisely in the box. But, perhaps, at this stage of the Mitsubishi competition ahead.
The suspension on both cars is very good for fast driving. It is harsh, but due to this it allows you to perform sharp maneuvers at decent speed. Lovers of soft and smooth driving are best turned to the Renault Megane II eyes.
So, most likely, the buyer will make the choice between these cars based solely from his design preferences. In our competition, a draw. Each of our rivals has its own advantages and disadvantages. Mitsubishi, among other things, boasts a lower price: 651 240 rubles (about $ 26,000) for maximum equipment with a body kit. Well, having paid 683,000 rubles (about $ 27,000) for the simplest Civic configuration, you can get a salon whose button is made on its own pattern, a large trunk and a few more bells and whistles that a competitor does not have.
