The smells began to pursue before meeting with the car - Nice met with a warm aroma of prolonged rain. After that, a chain of associations reached out by itself. And after her the question: what is new in the aromatic portrait of the focus?
In the parking lot - a flock of multi -colored cars. But with the apparent wealth of the palette, the choice is small: five -door hatchbacks and station wagons. The most interesting thing for our country - the sedan - has not yet been shown, it will appear closer to spring. Machines, as before, look organically regardless of the type of body. Signs of corporate design with embossed surfaces and a dynamic silhouette create a completely clear aura - fresh wind.
COFFEE WITH CREAM
Inside the impression changes. The light gray-beige interior of the station wagon in the rich configuration of the GIA (I immediately thought about how practical such a decision) reminded the aroma of hot tea relaxing after a serious day. To moderately, hard seats with good lateral support are covered with solid skin, plastic does not give occasions for the nit -picking, underfoot -weaving soft rugs in the color of the cabin. Even the cladding of a spacious trunk flaunts such a ceremonial light veil yur that the idea to put here something untidy seems blasphemous. The feeling of comfort enhances the large screen of the multimedia system with built-in navigation (tips are duplicated on the instrument panel), convenient handles of separate climate control. And here is the reason for annoyance - the steering wheel is harsh, and the rim is thinner than we would like. Honestly, wooden details also do not look quite appropriate.
From the dark salon of the hatchback in a more modest configuration, comfort was pulled by strong and tonic coffee espresso. Sitting, immediately gathered, began to mentally plan things for the coming days. The quality of the finish, albeit not so elegant, is not inferior to the top version, and the eye rests from the darkness on metal and carbon inserts.
Spring and autumn
I admit, made a mistake - first I chose a station wagon with a new 2 -liter turbodiesel. Its character is an explosion of spring aromas, a charge of energy and height. Thanks to the turbine with a variable geometry, there is no mention of the turboyam effect, the thrust is even in the entire speed range. I just don’t understand why such a magnificent motor of a six -speed box? Five programs are enough with excess, and the highest will be needed only with a monotonous movement along the highway. In addition, the lever is shifted to the right, which is why at first it is necessary to grope at the desired gear, despite excellent selectivity and short moves.
The usual five -speed box, which is equipped with gasoline units, much more convenient. But the two -liter gasoline engine turned out to be the exact opposite of the diesel engine - it smelled of a waging breathing of autumn. Perhaps the impression would be different, I try it first. But you won’t turn what has been done - I had to put up with a leisurely acceleration, at times stomp on the gas pedal, slip a reduced gear, and get nervous on overtaking. And the noise is quickly boring. In some modes, diesel works clearly quieter.
French asphalt did not allow to fully evaluate the suspension settings - even the lanes seemed rolled with a multi -ton rink. Nevertheless, it caused smells ... cloth and chalk - any road seems like a billiard table. I wonder what impression will remain after traveling on Russian bumps?
The main component
Focus, contrary to the assurances of the company, cannot be called a new car, there are no revolutionary changes in it. It is much more correct to consider it the modernization of the previous, very successful model. Is it easy to improve the already high -quality product? Of course not! The more valuable is that the designers managed to give the car modern features, offer new equipment, while maintaining the best qualities of the ancestor.
There is already an answer to the most exciting question! The machine will cost from 345 to 555 thousand rubles. ($ 14,000-22 700). That is, in fact, as much as now. You don’t have to be a very experienced taster to predict: this aroma is simply doomed to success.
Ford Focus is a high level of comfort, decent driving qualities and a democratic price.
What is needed for happiness?
The desire to please everyone and everyone sometimes turns into a mania. Judge for yourself - the desired one will have to choose a focus
- out of 4 body options (3- and 5-door hatchback, sedan and station wagon),
- out of 10 engines (5 gasoline and 5 diesel),
- out of 6 gearboxes (4 mechanical, 1 classic machine gun and promising Power Shift with two clutches),
- of 4 configuration options (Ambiente, Comfort, Ghia and Titanium).
The simplest arithmetic: the total number of options reaches 960 - not counting the numerous options!
Factory of aromas
One of the attractions of the South of France is the small La Source Parfumee enterprise three kilometers from the Alpine village of Gourdon, at an altitude of 760 m above sea level. It is famous not only for vast gardens, where rosemary, thyme and lavender are grown. A flavored soap and candles are produced here from herbs, but this is only a bait for tourists. The main purpose of a small factory is the production of concentrates, of which then in large factories they make it right: the spirits of the most famous brands. There is a museum here: rows of pot -bellied multi -colored bottles on wooden racks. Looking at them, and you won’t think that the contents of bizarre flasks will subsequently appear in the best perfume shops in the world.
