But no matter how much we were looking for, Avenger does not have anything like that. This is a valuable compliment for Dodge, because it confirms: Americans go faithful expensive. The driver is easy to take a convenient position behind the wheel due to the large range of armchair adjustments, but the steering wheel is adjustable only on the angle of inclination. The Branc itself has a small diameter, but the skin and plastic, from which the hub is made, typically American. Moreover, gray only strengthens the feeling of the budget of the upholstery. But with ergonomics everything is in order. The devices performed on the Alfa Romeo manner retain informativeness and day, and at night, and you can blindly control the climate. In other words, nothing strains in the Avenger salon. Including due to the fact that everything is at hand and everything in its place. About the comfort of the rear passengers also did not forget: threesome in the back seat, but for two places it is enough. And you can safely go to the long road: a sofa moderately hard, with a good profile. Excellent choice for the family!
 
The chassis is also configured with an emphasis on comfort. The suspension easily swallows irregularities, and thanks to the decent road lumen and high-profile tires you can eat on the borders. However, you should not expect from the Avenger American softness bordering with rolling. Yes, sometimes the car barely swinging noticeably, but the Europeans will take him for their own. The sedan is well held in turns and stable on a straight line. Of course, you should not search in his HOWS HOWS HONDA ACCORD or POST WOMEN VW PASSAT, but for driving without sports ambitions is the chassis what you need! The car guarantees a comfortable ride with a maximum security level, because the dynamic stabilization system (ESP) does not turn off, even if you press the appropriate button, and passive safety at the proper level: multistage front airbags, additional side pillows, inflatable curtains
 
The engines are offered four: three gasoline volumes 2, 2.4 and 2.7 liters and one turbodiesel. Unfortunately, a powerful V6 (170 hp) and the ignarious turbodiesel from VW Passat will not be delivered to Russia, but it is such cars that were available at the European presentation. Turbodiesel produced the greatest and best impression. Its power (140 hp and 320 nm) with more than enough to compensate for not too drive chassis settings on the mountain road. However, in Avenger, this motor works louder than in Passat, and makes itself felt a noticeable vibration on the lever of a 6-speed manual gearbox. But the new V6 itself courtesy: at idle it is almost not heard and vibrations are minimized. But I can not boast the enthusiasm and economy peculiar to TDI. He sounds great at high speed, but he desperately lack thrust on Nizakh. In addition, a pair with V6 does not work not a very distiller automatic transmission. Therefore, the dynamics is not impressive frankly. And what to expect from less powerful versions?
 
Nevertheless, Dodge Avenger makes a pleasant impression. This is a considerable merit of an eccentric appearance and a convenient functional interior. Perhaps you expect from a car with such an aggressive appearance as dynamic behavior on the road, and, by and large, Avenger justifies expectations.
