The driver’s chair is equipped with an electric support in height and adjusting the lumbar support, both front seats heated. From sports inventory, the car received a reconfigured suspension, 17-inch wheels, spoiler, configured production, perforated pedals and rugs with GT embroidery. But the main thing is a 215-horsepower turbo engine that works paired with a manual gearbox.
For four years, PT Cruiser did not lose his originality at all equal to him in expressiveness, in the level of individuality it was not created to this day. The GT version looks more than a standard car, but this is nothing compared to the difference in sensations when driving. Even from the side of the type of cruiser, dashingly prescribing a turn and an arrow accelerating with straight lines, makes an impression. We have already got used to the shocking of his design, but the dashing of this slightly awkward in appearance of the car is a complete surprise!
At the same time, for a person sitting behind the wheel, the picture is even more interesting. To begin with, the turbine turns on here late, 3,000 rpm. And until then, the boost does not betray itself in any way, and the car accelerates measuredly as if under the hood two or two and a half liters. But then vigor appears at once and a lot. Ka-a-a-k jumps ... Then you come across a noticeable step between the second and third gear, which breaks the gained rate of acceleration. In order to get around it, you have to twist the motor in second gear to the ringing; Then, after switching, you get just on the threshold of turbosons, and Pt Cruiser no longer loses its overclocking.
What thoughts does this lead to? Cruiser GT Double -mode car. On it, you can imp deflaisively on the streets, show yourself and look at others without provoking the turbine and saving fuel.
And you can rush so much that you will not really have the opportunity to consider the car. Moreover, short lower gears can improve the dynamics at city speeds, smoothing it after a hundred. Only the waterption of the clutch drive and the gear shift mechanism work upset, they work is notable, everything would be just wonderful.
The controllability turned out to be very decent for purebred Americans, problems with this matter are frequent. The steering wheel is not too sharp, reliable feedback is present in the entire range of rotation of the steering wheel, except that with its deviations to large angles of reactive effort is almost enough. And so everything is in order: turns can be stormed fearlessly, the stability of the machine is beyond praise.
And the rolls are small, thanks to the sandwiches. Naturally, the smoothness of the stroke fell on the altar of controllability: if the suspension still extinguishes small flaws, then the potholes are larger than the body's unpleasant concussions.
But inside Cruiser GT is a typical American car. Leather seats, cheap plastic and rude buttons (from the European heritage of the insert under the carbon on the front panel). True, nothing creaks. The front seats have a short pillow, which is why you move forward from time to time. Unknown. What can not be said about the car as a whole. A high roof facilitates the entrance and exit, in the rear places there is enough space. The shelf in the trunk can be installed at different heights, can transform into a dining table, or can get out at all. For transportation of overall goods, the rear seats are easily dismantled from the cabin.
Cool machine. Bright, fervent, not devoid of rationality. Hot car for every day? If the creators of PT Cruiser GT had just such a goal, it remains only to congratulate them on the brilliant fulfillment of the task.
