I remember that three or four years ago, passers-by turned their heads after the Craceler-Prowler. The effect of the appearance on the streets of the city of the new model then and now, when I slowly rolled on the crossfire on the autumn boulevard, it was similar - general attention. What, besides him, awaits the owner?
Six and a half to hundreds
The name itself, which can be translated as cross -fire, suggests that the heart of the car must correspond to the image. And, indeed, the creators worked not only on external forms. The engine, may not revolutionary in design, embodied a number of original solutions. People, at least a little versed in automobile engines, know that the ideal of balances is a in -line six. But the engine of this design would not fit under the flat hood of Crossfire. Therefore, the motor cylinders were ruined by ninety degrees, and to reduce uneven in work on the crankshaft, a balanced one was placed. The engine has three valves per cylinder - two inlets and one graduation. Having removed the extra valve, they managed to get by with one hollow camshaft in each head. And this, in turn, made it possible to place two candles in the cylinder - for better combustion of fuel, reducing noise and reducing toxicity. With such a engine with a capacity of 215 liters. With. Contrary to expectations
Fuel consumption with an automatic five -speed box in the city cycle is 2.6 liters, and on the highway - one and a half liters (!) Than with six -speed mechanics. A machine with such an adaptive automatic (it is set to order) was at our disposal. The machine operates almost perfectly, adjusting to the driving style by its own understanding. In a short time, the new model managed to like it. A spacious salon inspires a sense of confidence. The front panel is symmetrically separated in half. The passenger and the driver feel equally safe in finished skin and polished aluminum cockpit. When the first hundred on the speedometer managed to exchange on the suburban highway, an anti -winged automatically extended from the stern, creating an additional clamping force. By the way, if desired, it can be raised at lower speed by pressing the button on the central console.
In the cabin, amazingly quiet: their own sensations convince of the effectiveness of all design decisions that reduce vibrations and noise.
The front wheels for better handling have a smaller diameter and width: this allows you to clearly prescribe the trajectory in corners. The rear bast shoes of an impressive dimension 255/35ZR19 tightly set the stern of the car with the road. And if it happened to overdo it at a speed in a bend - esp (dynamic stabilization system) will interfere with the skid. Of course, in such a short time not to feel all the subtleties of the behavior of the crossfire. But there is no doubt that the car will be successful with wealthy motorists.

In standard configuration, the machine is equipped with a six -speed gearbox.
