V8 gasoline engines are very reliable. With proper care, they are able to serve, it seems forever. Motor service is quite simple - only every 5-7 thousand km change the oil, as well as an air filter. In addition, the radiator must be cleaned annually, and otherwise the engine can boil. Sometimes, of course, V8 requires repair. Most often it is either the need to replace the oil-challenge caps ($ 200 with work), or the installation of a new crankshaft liner ($ 150-330 with work).
