The first 10,000 test kilometers were given to our Chevrolet Epica quite easily. Technical problems bypassed her side, except at first, until the brake pedal sensor was fixed, the box was blocking a couple of times on parquet, and to cure the capricious electronics, it was necessary to sharply beat the brake pedal. About 500 km of run, after which the sensor finally would fit. Another little trouble was waiting for Epica on the 9th thousand mileage: the incident flux of the wind from the radiator lattice broke the plastic emblem of Chevrolet worth about 500 rubles. In more detail with the results of a long test, we will introduce you to winter, after the first half year of the operation of the car.

In the society, an exhausted seven decades of tomorrow for the iron curtain, and therefore quickly spoiled by the trends of Western automotive culture, a careless American Buri of delight does not cause. It is only in words, we love to repeat the immortal phrase of Ilf and Petrov, convincing others themselves in the fact that the car is not a luxury, but a means of movement. In practice, these words are applicable except to the well-established automotive markets in Europe and the United States. We still dominate the principle of Ponte more than money. For those who have already got rid of such complexes and does not consider the car only as a means of increasing personal status in the eyes of others, and there are such rationalism weapons as Chevrolet Epica is not too patical, but a large, cheaper and economical D-class car.
Good, but the incomplete decoration of the cabin without new-fashioned delights, with a simple, but readable dashboard is extremely functional. The only thing that sometimes annoys: the electronic clock mounted into the right corner of the central console is slightly turned towards the passenger seat, which is why they are very glad and almost not read from the driver's seat.
The information monitor on the central console, on the contrary, is well read, but it seems somewhat oversaturated information. At speeds, it's not too nice to the driver at the speed of green numbers, arrows and indicators, and sometimes it's just dangerous. At the same time, the console itself, despite the simple design, is very convenient and ergonomic.
In terms of the comfort of the cabin, it is not very clear that: the rear sofa is very spacious, the spaces for the feet of passengers abound. Isn't that the ceiling of American is low, and the sofa-sofa-sofa sofa, a two-fold table with two cup holders and a mustache is deprived of a vertical retainer, which is why the speed is unpleasant, the spring on the soft seat pillows.
The capacity of the 480-liter trunk will satisfy the most demanding public. The folding two-section back of the rear sofa allows you to load very overall objects into the luggage compartment. The visibility in general is not bad, but without parking sensors in narrow spaces, Epica feels uncomfortable. Rounded rear wings springs are grown by the back of the car, they do not even save the American solid mirrors. The latter are very informative, but are not perfect from the point of view of auxiliary aerodynamics: in the rain, moisture drops are practically not blown away from the working planes, which dramatically worsens the review.
The dynamics of the 2.4-liter engine, frankly, is not impressive. As we tried on the landfill, it was not possible to force the EPICA to accelerate EPICA for 9.9 seconds. The absence of kykdauna is once again underlined by the congenital plumidity of the Kaliningrad American. So, during overtalks on the highway, it is better to immediately translate the KP selector in manual mode and to forcibly descend to the lower gear. At first it is somewhat annoying, but you get used to pretty quickly. However, weaknesses sometimes generate and advantages: 9.3 liters of fuel per 100 km of a mixed cycle for the D-class car, the indicator is magnificent. In terms of economy, Epica is definitely one of the best in its segment.
Suspension Chevrolet is a softer and Vallaja, which provides sufficient comfort, but determines weighty rolls when passing the rearrangements and slalom. Handling is hardly attributed to the number of trumps Chevrolet Epica: sharpness and ease is clearly not enough, and and how can it be otherwise, if it is necessary to rotate the wheels from the stop until the steering wheel is required. But, on the other hand, for Americans it is not a record. So, in general, the Epica habits fully comply with the national automotive nature of the United States character, sometimes not to the end of understandable Russians.
