The first tested car was a version with a 1.4 liter gasoline engine and a mechanical gearbox. There will be two engines in total, both gasoline. The volume of the second will be 1.2 liters. The engine power 1.4 liters reaches 101 hp, and the torque is 131 nm at 4200 min-1. The option with this engine is called sports, but when accelerating to 100 km/h in more than 11 seconds, it is difficult to call the car sports, rather dynamic. In the city stream, and on the highway, you feel quite comfortable. But in order to keep up, you will have to constantly keep more than 2000-3000 and actively switch the transmission of mechanical transmission. It should be noted that the programs themselves are long, which slightly reduces the dynamics of overclocking. With an automatic machine, and it is only available with 1.4 engine, the acceleration dynamics at low speeds is more intense, but the first hundred AVEO with the automatic transmission is gained at about the same time as with mechanics. The machine was very comfortable. It switches without jerking and, if necessary, sharply accelerate quickly passes to the step below.
The power of the second motor is 84 hp, which is very good for such a small volume of 1.2 liters. This is 12 hp. More than the previous version of this engine. It was possible to achieve such indicators through the installation of the two upper distribution shafts, four valves on the cylinder and the PDA valves disconnection systems, the operation of which helps to improve intake and combustion of the fuel mixture. But even with such power indicators, literally enough. For normal dynamics, the motor has to constantly twist above 3000 revolutions. And the maximum torque of 114 Nm is available at 3800 min-1. Acceleration to 100 km/h takes about 13 s, which you can’t call fast. In many ways, this compliance with the toxicity by Euro 4. But the fuel consumption is reduced to 6 liters per 100 km.
If you try, then with an engine 1.2 you can develop a maximum speed of 172 km/h, which is only 4 km/h less than with a 1.4 engine. The maximum speed of the version with an automaton is 165 km/h.
The internal space of the three -door version of Aveo is almost no different from five -door performance, since the size of the cars are the same. A large door allows you to comfortably sit down not only with front, but also to the rear passengers. At the back of the place is enough for two riders of medium complexion. The volume of the appearance of a small trunk is 220 liters, and if you fold the rear seat, it increases to 980 liters.
In Russia, the three -door version of the Chevrolet Aveo is already sold. All engines and transmission are available. Prices start with 311,200 rubles. The most expensive equipment will cost customers 458,469 rubles.
