Where to test the city car in class? There are many options, but there is not a single outstanding. General Motors decided to present the new Aveo in his homeland, in Poland. Yes, it is this country that can be safely called if not the first, then certainly the second homeland of Chevrolet, since the first models of this brand Warsaw saw in 1928, when Master Sedan, De Luxe, Touring Sedan and Imperial Limousine left the factory conveyor. .
However, we are not talking about them now. Directly in the parking lot of the Wroclaw Airport lined up in a ruler, widely blurring in a proprietary smile, the brand new three -door Aveo. To choose from - versions with engines 1.2 and 1.4 liters, as well as with two variants of the checkpoint - automatically and mechanics. I choose the car I like to go to the goal: to get to the city on a specially developed route.
The car interior almost did not surprise. All interior details are the same as on other Chevrolet Dat even minimal differences could not be found. But what pleased: it was possible to accommodate with comfort, and did not have to experience the feelings of the elbow. There are also enough places behind: two passengers of medium height will feel comfortable, without resting their knees in the front seats, but shoulders into each other. For traveling long distances, Aveo is still not the best option, but it would be strange to demand miracles from it.
The ergonomics of the salon does not affect the imagination, but understandable. Sowing after a tiring flight behind the wheel, I did not have to waste time getting used to the car; All governing bodies in their places and the steering wheel conveniently lays down in his hands, and the seats are harsh, but comfortable. Materials used in the decoration of budgetary, but not to the detriment of quality. For a car of this class and similar ambitions just right.
Testing the car abroad, it is not easy to imagine what awaits it in Russia - the roads are too different with us and them. But here everything was as it should: the Polish road conditions turned out to be very similar to Russian and, having left the parking lot on a flat road on the highway, the potholes and potholes did not work out to relax.
The first test the suspension passed with the honor of the energy intensity was enough. And one more surprise pressing the gas pedal on the floor, I felt the playful character of the car. At first I didn’t even believe: Aveo allows you to feel excitement! Despite the presence of three passengers and the on the air conditioner, an 84-horsepower motor is quite worthy and accelerates the car and pulls at speeds at 100 km/h.
Well, of course, Aveo is not a sports car. Experienced drivers will notice a lubricated clutch pedal and a fuzzy speed of speed switching on the mechanics. But as is often the case that one will consider the disadvantage, the other will write down the newcomer to the newcomer will have to try hard to stall at the start, and when switching gears, although there is no sensation of the perfect clarity of the work of the checkpoint, but it will not be possible to make a mistake.
The case turned up in full to evaluate the brakes. They did not let down when on the left at an equivalent intersection a rural truck rolled up, and it became clear about his reluctance to let anyone in the last moment. Aveo stopped as if dug, letting the Pole cube of the Pole inspired by the successes of Robert.
I am transplanted to Aveo with a 100-horsepower engine (1.4 l.) And automatic. An additional 16 horses were clearly not superfluous, it seems to be calmer with them on the road. Forgetting about the gear shift, I wanted to play enough, squeezing alternately either the gas or the brake, passing through the apexes of the turns of the non -casual landscape.
But, alas, on a straight machine, it does not give the confidence that the mechanic. Reburating during overtaking, it was necessary to get nervous for several moments in anticipation when the gas pedal pressed in the floor would find a response in the gearbox. Well, at a speed exceeding the permitted one, the car instantly begins to scour along the road, and a feeling of calm disappears at all.

For a compact, the option is quite rare, because it is intended in theory for intensive load, for example, when climbing the mountain. For predominantly plain Russia, such an opportunity is unlikely to be in demand, but not to refuse Zhek in the same way, two fixed transmissions allow you to more intensively promote the motor and, if necessary, add the car to the car.
Summarizing, it is worth recalling the main purpose of Aveo inexpensive companion for moving around the city. In my opinion, the car copes with this task perfectly. Practical and affordable (the cost of a three -door AVEO starts from 311,200 rubles), it does not inspire longing, delighting the potential owner with bright colors of the body and non -banal appearance.
Aveo maneuverability and compactness will be marked by a driver on city streets and during rebuilding. And given the speed regime in the city and the usual phenomenon of our days of traffic jams, I would still give my preference to the version with an automaton. Yes, it makes no sense to try to make everyone at a traffic light, but you get the pleasure of the wheel of such a car in other minutes.
