In Russia, the official sales of the Bava Rodster Z4 began. One day spent in the company of this machine brought a lot of impressions - ambiguous, but interesting.
 
What is a classic relatives? A light, inexpensive machine for entertainment. Beauty, driving pleasure, dear brand and price affordable to a young man. Not to anyone, of course, but to the one whose jacket adorns the coat of arms of a prestigious university and whose parents occupy a high position in society.
 
Later, the owner of such a car will become a lawyer, politician or businessman and will move to the right rear place of the stiff Mercedes or Bentley. But now it is this technically unpretentious and absolutely impractical machine - his companion on traveling in restaurants, in romantic walks along the roads with a bride approved at the family council, and the ideal remedy for road pranks.
 
Appearance, design of the machine? It itself is design: each line carries aristocracy and passion, every little thing is worked out carefully and with love. Still, such a topic is a dream of any artist, a rare opportunity to see his fantasies materialized! There were no other requirements for appearance, except for the ability to attract general attention. And the designers coped with the task.
 
While we, slowly, we roll around the historical center of the city, where the freight movement is prohibited, we can safely remove the fabric roof. There is enough to press the button so that the side glasses are slightly sank down and the upper part of the body, like a giant insect, while folding, disappeared into the bowels of the car’s hitch.
 
The interior revision will not take much time. The central console is a simple climatic installation and a music center. Leather seats - without a hint of side support and only with manual adjustments. On the cover of the central tunnel are the Sport key and the automatic transmission selector (yes, our machine is equipped with automatically, and not the most agile). A leather steering wheel with stylish silver knitting needles is very convenient for active steering. And most importantly: the place here was found only for the driver and passenger. We are not about the absence of the rear seats, but that any trifle will have to be put in the trunk, since it is problematic to attach anything but yourself in the cabin.
 
A little later, on the site, we simulate the passage of several kilometers of mountain serpentine. The chassis is excellent. Accurate and verified rudder with a minimum of rolls. As we get used to it, we try to combat it - to no avail. It is virtually unrealistic to disrupt a powerful rear -wheel drive car into a skid. Paradox: at the output of the turn of any steepness, the gas pedal falls into the void, and exactly as much torque comes to the wheels, as that nothing dangerous (or exciting) simply could not happen. The DSC system suppresses any sliding in the bud.
 
The last hint of a different purpose of the machine was the signaling lamp of the oil level, caught in after the twentieth active turn (under the influence of centrifugal forces, the oil was squeezed out of the bath to the walls of the crankcase). Stop.
 
Ring road. 220 on the speedometer. Here the car is in its element. The management is responsive and easy, the situation is not tense. Silent bends of the road pass perfectly. However, we do not advise taking risks at the speed of approaching and actively rebuild, being close to the maximum wipes. Due to the small mass of the machine and the shape of its body, the influence of aerodynamics is essential and the wheels no longer have such unshakable contact with the road as one hundred and fifty.
 
At a comfortable speed - fresh air, wind and sounds of nature. Or music that can be listened even with a decorated top, for nothing that power speakers are installed under the backs of the seats.
 
BMW Z4 - it is no longer the good old class that you could imagine, it is a car at prices starting from $ 48900 and above. Times are changing, and with them cars. Roadster is now a beautiful, very beautiful car, a center of attention. Open enough and as safe as possible, so high -ranking parents can be calm for their children.
 
It is pleasant to go to City in the evening or grab with a girl along the highway. Well, a young man with a big future today has nothing to work on his rider's skills. You can’t argue with reality: everything is for the good of man, and God forbid, something will happen to him ...
