We don’t know if you are upset that nothing particularly outstanding, neither in direct, nor figuratively, in the appearance of this machine. The amateur's eye is unlikely to distinguish it from unrelated sisters, and only a sophisticated person will note some features indicating the true capabilities of the BMW X5 4.6is.
 
Look at the wheels - not large, but huge: 275/40r20 in front and 313/35R20 behind. Agree, such rinks are useless to the ordinary jeep. And their tread is clearly not for the road leading to some farm. So much more Nyurgurging highway.
 
An important detail: all car brakes are disk, and ventilated.
 
In front, the car is almost no different from the previous version, except that the lower part of the bumper is painted in the color of the body. A solid, and most importantly, without cheap bells and whistles, for which so amateurs are so. A small nuance is the appearance of a 4.6is nameplate on the front wing.
 
And now we’ll go around the car behind and look closely: the four exhaust pipes displayed turned into two doubles. Their shape now has nothing to do with the circle, rather resembles a nozzle for an industrial vacuum cleaner - the spectacle is quite spectacular.
 
The suspension almost did not change (what we were convinced, looking under the car), but became much tougher and acquired a system of dynamic control of the stability of DSC III.
 
Open the hood. If an adrenaline was erected a monument, he probably would have looked that way. One type of mighty V8 is enough for the heart to beat frantically. And to pronounce aloud how much he gives out horsepower is generally scary: 347 horses can shock anyone. If you add a maximum torque of 480 nm here, then Botany will become clear why the car is such wheels. (As it turned out in the future, even they easily turn on the asphalt!)
 
Something also updated in the cabin. If in other modifications of X5 this or that bauble should be ordered as an option, then at 4.6is they - from TV to curtains on the rear doors - are included in the serial package. But such a thing - the keys, which depicts a car driving under the hill - before. It turns out that the novelty was equipped with a system that provides safe descent on steep or slippery sections of the road.
 
As usual, we find the street more freely and - gas to the floor. 6.5 seconds spent on a set of 100 km/h fly in a blink of an eye. Come in our way, the traffic police inspector, a fine of 3 minimum wages would be provided to us.
 
It turned out that the speed on such a machine is felt only after passing the mark of 150 km/h. Until this moment, it seems that you are going at a moderate pace, just everyone else weaves like sleepy flies. And only when a completely wild slowdown besides the agility of your horse before a pedestrian crossing, you understand that everything around is left as before.
