Mercedes has AMG, and Bavarians have M -Technik - the BMW sports unit. The BMW series M is the dream of almost any fan of the Munich brand.
 
Personally, I exploited a canary -colored M3 for quite a long time with a wonderful engine with a capacity of 321 hp. Treshka did not go with him - she flew low! If you do not particularly fugue, then you can completely move around the city, as on the most ordinary two -liter machine. In a machine gun, the SMG box is touched from the second gear, and at a speed of 70 km/h you will roll in the seventh gear. Everything is quiet and smooth. But you just have to click, understanding what the pilot wants, the smart box instantly climbs the gears a couple of gears back, and then road madness begins. However, for extreme and aggressive driving it is worth using the manual mode. The programs can be switched by the tiny lever-spin, or can also be fashionable with formula petals on the steering wheel. Rather, immediately behind the steering wheel. However, the main highlight is not at all. Near the box lever there is a small button that regulates the length of the gear ratio. They can be stretched, and then the M5 will twist the motor until the cutting is far behind the number 8. And you can, on the contrary, shorten, and then the car will switch earlier. And that has already become a more or less familiar button with the inscription Power, responsible for the sensitivity of the accelerator pedal.

Yes, impressive! Only 4.7 seconds are required for this car so that the speedometer arrow shall exchange the second hundred. I believe. Even without a stopwatch, I believe in my own feelings. The Germans did not deceive, damn it.
 
Now about the minuses, which, of course, are in every car. There are few of them here. Adding M5 comfort, the Bavarians slightly sacrificed handling. No, the car is steering perfectly, but this is not the one as sharp as a razor and a hard hodovka. At high speeds, you need to be extremely careful - the BMW M5 cannot stand uneven asphalt and puffin. Fuel consumption exceeds far over 20 liters even when a smooth ride: V10 is not a joke for you. Yes, and it is unlikely that it makes sense to buy such a car as the main means of transportation for every day. Repair for all M5 is complex and expensive, and this one in particular. The new M5 is literally stuffed with ultra -modern technologies and requires constant care and control. So such an expensive toy, the price of which begins from a mark of 119,000 euros, should be the fifth car in a rich family. So that the owner can sit down and grab on the weekend in full. Better - on the German autobahn.
