In the name of this car, there is only one digit, but in fact the M5 consists of many digits - large and smaller. The fourth generation of the M5 is not an easy -expected evolving model, it is a jump in the level of technology worthy of Olympic gold, against which the previous M5 looks like a silicon musket next to a homing missile. The Supromosg M5 makes 250 million calculations per second, and each of them is dictated by one speed. This is a very fast car. Fast so that it will not be difficult for him to give some average supervision supercar under the ass. Moreover, for this, it is not necessary to climb the everest of torque - the maximum 520 nm, which arrives at 6100 min -1, since already at 3,500 the engine produces 450 nm, and 80 % of the maximum moment develops in the widest range - 5500 min -1. Therefore, it is only worth crushing the gas pedal, and acceleration, like a snow avalanche, collapses and rapidly carries you away to any of the seven steps of SMG transmission.
 
The mechanical sequental transmission with an electro-hydraulic drive has an automatic and manual modes (you can switch the transfers yourself by shaking the lever of the CP or by clicking on the petals under the wheel) and the Drivelogic function. In both transmission modes, they switch clearly and quickly - significantly faster than it would be possible to do with ordinary mechanics. But, choosing an automatic mode, you deprive yourself of part of the pleasure from driving a machine, so it is better to use it for movement in the city, and go to the manual on the highway. The Drivelogic function allows you to select 11 gear speed settings - six in the manual and five - in the machine, allowing you to adapt the box both under the lazy morning -surplus and to the racing manner of driving.
 
SMG not only allows the maximum use of the engine capabilities, but also helps the driver cope with the machine in difficult situations. So, when switching to a reduced gear on a slippery road, SMG will instantly turn off the clutch so as not to provoke the machine’s ski due to too much braking by the engine. When moving in the mountains, SMG shifts switching moments, which avoids multiple r going to the gears up and down on protracted lifts and hold low gears during descent to use the brake moment of the engine. The transmission also helps to move on the rise, preventing the car from rolling back.
 
EM five reaches 100 km/h in less than five seconds, and 200 - in a little more than more than fifteen. Spectacular start with slipping? For God's sake! If you need to stop abruptly, M5 will easily do this. The brake discs from composite materials kill excess speed as effectively as the motor generates it. But M5 is not only stunning dynamic capabilities, but also the appropriate appearance. To combine all electronic options into one ball, M5 equipped Mdrive. Excellent chassis, combined with the perfect distribution of mass between the axes, allows you to prescribe turns with a very high speed, without fear of losing control of the machine. At the same time, the M5 Autoban rushing along the even canvas resembles a locomotive equipped with a reactive engine. The exemplary exchange rate stability of the car once once again showed that it was created not only for beautiful turns, but also for high-speed multi-kilometer marching.
 
And what about competitors? There is a little difficulty. After this test, traditional opponents such as the Audi RS6 and Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG seem too wooden, not giving the sensations that the new M5 is able to give. In the dynamics and pleasure of driving with it, Porsche Carrera S is able to compare, but as much baggage and passengers as in EMKU will not fit in that sports car. Competition M5 could compile Ferrari 612 Scaglietti with its excellent running qualities and a fairly roomy body, but the price ...
 
The new BMW M5 is the most amazing and perfect car in the classroom.
