The new seven was green. But not at all from anger. And, of course, the essence is not that they reduced CO2 exhausts to the level of a small car. Although, of course, they were still a little reduced, not a single new premiere is now a decrease. But - this is not the point. The fact is that green is young. BMW 7-rhean was younger, soul and all its technological insides.She partially younger because her customers were younger. Buyers of the seventh series in Asia are much younger than in Europe. What is important, because, say, China is the third largest market for sales of seven (after Europe and the USA), and it is growing. It is not only worth reckoning with him, it is necessary to work for it.
In Europe and America, more young customers also appear. But the one who buys the seven, being a man, is young. This is confident not only by BMW marketers, but also by designers, engineers and all others who worked on the new generation of the seventh series. It is not a biological age for them that a determining value, but how many years a person feels himself.
And he feels himself, apparently, a happy teenager, moreover, with an actually unlimited amount of pocket money. And so a person does not need a bulky machine, with a black salon and dark wooden inserts, with a clean panel clean, smooth, without unnecessary little things, more like a large boss like a table than a car interior.
But, whatever you say, the fourth generation of the seventh series has already become a legend, which now they say, they say it was a car, majestic and contradictory. Against the background of such regrets, as well as the majestic Dresden, where they presented a new seven, the car looked especially cheerful. Sitting in him, you really seem to become a teenager who cannot be patient to sew and evaluate the degree of multifunctionality of the device received for use.
To begin with, of course, we had to turn it on - as expected, we did it by pressing the button. And, as it should be at the devices, he turned on the display. It is he who is now in the place where all other cars are still an archaic instrument shield. The new seven also has a hard drive on which you can download music files and navigation cards. Nevertheless, we annoyingly recall once again that we are talking about a representative car, the owner of which will unload his favorite albums into it with CD or IPOD. It’s difficult to say after that that this person is not a young soul. It is impossible to even say that his life was a success. Because he still succeeds. To your favorite music sounding from the speakers of the HIFI Professional audio system, or even BMW Individual High End.
But the surprises do not end there. A pair of IDRive clicks, and on the display located on the central console, the title page of Google occurs in front of us. The seven is the first car in the world with Internet access from the driver’s and any passenger place, since the rear seats can be equipped with monitors and the second Idrive puck. (The Internet has already been tested by us on the updated BMW of the third series, which was officially announced in Munich this summer.) We cannot say that it works quickly. Enter the address or other data using the IDRive washer is convenient, but of course, you cannot compare with the keyboard. Work on a laptop, sitting in the back seat, would be incredibly comfortable. Therefore, do not worry too much that the Internet will not work on the seven in Russia. However, the very fact that the car can do it, too, cannot but hit, and it is obvious that in a couple of years the system will be much more functional. In the meantime, you can see the DVD on the way home, and twelve massaging and six rotating pads in the seat of the luxury class (with a 140 mm wheelbase enlarged) will do massage to the muscles of the lower back and back, which, unlike the heart, may not be anymore anymore So Yuna.
Changes in Idrive also occurred, and all in the same computer side. The puck now has the logic of work similar to a computer mouse, which greatly facilitates intuitive use of the entire system as a whole. In addition, it has overgrown with functional buttons. The menu subsections are now turning over like a book. Navigation has changed, the map has become embossed, and POI now they look like pictures. Not all, of course. Having set off for impressions to Saxon Switzerland, the picturesque sandstone mountains, located about thirty kilometers from Dresden in the upper reaches of the Elbe, 3D image of this attraction on the map we did not see.
But on the monitor of the new BMW 7-ER you can see other, no less exciting things. In the dark, the Night Vision system recognizes the people behind the headlight lighting, analyzes the situation where the pedestrian is located and how the car travels relatively, and in case of danger, a sign of this appears on the display. When parking on the display, the image is displayed from the rear view camera, and when leaving places with limited visibility - gate, arches, underground parking - you can display the image of the chambers built into the front bumper on the display and see what happens to the right and left from the car. At first it is hard to navigate, but then it becomes very convenient.
Of course, not all the most interesting in this car is on its display. It's time to hit yourself on the forehead and say: hey, it's still BMW! The engines are offered in a third -cylinder engine of the third -generation Common Rail in the BMW 730D, as well as two gasoline engines - an eight -cylinder on the BMW 750i and a in -line six -cylinder on the BMW 740i, which use double -turbocharged. Engineers were especially eradicated by the eradication of the so -called turboyama, which they successfully managed to get rid of. Together with a high torque, in a wide range of speed and decrease in fuel consumption, turbocharged without any conventions fits into the BMW Efficientdynamics concept.
For aggravation of driver sensations, on weekends, when a driver on a well -deserved rest, you can choose in what mode you want to move in - comfortable, normal or sports (switching is on the central console), while changing dynamic adjustments of the rigidity of shock absorbers. Integral active steering also works to help the driver, which regulates the rotation angle of the rear and front wheels. So, at low speeds, the rear wheels turn in the opposite direction, which reduces the diameter of the car turn by a maximum of 70 centimeters. A very useful option on narrow Moscow streets in the center, whose roadsides are always forced.
And, of course, it is impossible to ignore such a change as the return of the handle of the automatic gearbox from the steering wheel, from which the steering wheel petals also disappeared to switch speeds in mechanical mode (now only a lever can be used for this). We dare to assume that few are upset about this. Not that more familiar. It's just that the seven is difficult to feel like a pilot F1. For all the dynamics and power in the bend on wet asphalt, you are especially clearly felt at the wheel of a large and heavy car, although on straight sections this feeling completely disappears. In addition, holding on to the lever is a much more courageous action, it has the feeling that you are actually managing this colossus in fact. While the selector on the steering wheel and steering wheel petals for people who are not related to racing gives what is happening some kind of toy shade. And if you can still afford to feel like a teenager, then falling into childhood is already somehow not solid at all.
