On paper, the 335th BMW sedan seems just an ideal car: a powerful row turbo-six, 5.5 seconds to hundreds and gambling rear drive. Plus, the most recent appearance in the classroom, high-tech interior and, most importantly, a relatively low price is only two million rubles for the basic, but not a poor package. In which there are bi-xenon headlights, electronic insisting systems (ABS, stabilization system), rain and light sensors, mirrors and glass drives, on-board computer, two-zone climate control and even an audio system with MP3 format support.


A new treshka with any motor is available in three basic versions of equipping Modern, Sport and Luxury, which differ in the form of bumpers, the color of the radiator grille and the color range of the interior, as well as the materials used in the finishing. But they stand equally.

However, the test car is defiled by all available for BMW 3-Series options and therefore costs 3.2 million rubles. On our 335th, the top music of Harman Kardon is installed for 70 thousand rubles, and navigating a hard disk for 90 thousand, body finish from BMW Individual package, sports adaptive suspension, adaptive steering wheel, projection display and many more little things. But does any of them compare with the 335 oh drive? Good question!

The BMW 3-Series family has always been considered the most driver in its class. Classic rear-wheel drive, excellent motors, precision accurate chassis, perfect weighing over the axes 50:50 and the famous Bavarian handling. New treshka, debuting about a year ago, in theory, should have become even better. Yes, she slightly grown in size: the wheelbase increased by 50 millimeters, the river expanded on 37-47 millimeters (in front and rear), but the mass decreased by 25-40 kilograms depending on the modification. Power steering is now electric, and all the engines are only with turbocharging

Motors are excellent. Two-liter four (if not to take into account basic modifications with engine 1.6) with a capacity of 184 to 245 horsepower, one turbodiesel (double-liter, 184 forces) or a top-in-line six with a capacity of 306 horsepower, like on our car. Every modification, if desired, can be bought with mechanics, but we use the greatest demand in our market, of course, machines with an eight-adjusted ZF machine, equipped with a stop-start system.

But the robot with two clutches, used on EMKE, civilians are not yet possible. It's a pity. Because no matter how good the new ZF was good, it works smoothly, and the transmission changes the spore and imperceptibly, but in the speed of the response to the driver's actions still is still inferior to robotic transmissions. Especially in DRIVE mode.

In civil modes of a mechatronic chassis, the total mood of the treshki at all seemed too phlegmatic for the car with a propeller on the hood. Fortunately, no. The present character of the 335th manifests itself only when all switches and control electronics buttons are in the sport position. The suspension is going, a pleasant rumble appears in the voice of the motor, and he himself begins to react to moving the gas pedal much sharper. Even the machine finally remembers that it is not installed on the wedding limousine, but on the 306-strong BMW sedan.

Yes, here it is the same treshka that we love. Pure, delight from parasitic handlebars, powerful, sonorous and responsive motor, elongated reactions, cool brakes. And both sports modes of the Sport and Sport + can be configured for themselves. Perfect option: The steering wheel in comfort (it is more honest, without background effort), and the suspension and motor in the sport.

Comfort in sports modes, however, becomes less. Cracks, junctions and small roadbed defects are now annoyingly braking the body, and on large pits the suspension begins to work even louder. They say it is a trouble of all new tres, especially with electronically adjustable shock absorbers

Sport: plus or without?
Between themselves, the Sport and Sport + modes are distinguished only by the fact that in Sport + deactivated tracks-control, and the stabilization system allows light slides.


Later, hung over the dynamics of a 306-strong car, you start notifying light inertness in the engine responses with one double-roll turbine compressor motor on Audi S5, in sensations, was sharper and evil. Yes, and the machine sometimes breaks with the transition to reduced gears, even in response to a sharp supply of gas.

With gas on this trip, by the way, it is necessary to be more inactive. A little more pressing when you start from a place, even on dry asphalt first will work the anti-slip system, and then the stabilization system, and the raw, the jerk will not succeed. And on the dusty or wet asphalt with an insisting electronics, judging by the frequently blinking icon on the dashboard, and not at all to the rest: 400 Nm of torque, it is also a matter to send the rear wheels to slide! It seems unusual at first and very low landing with a completely lowered chair; Addictive will require non-fixed steering wheel switches responsible for the operation of turn signals and wipers. But the rest of the ergonomics of the new treshki is almost perfect. The central console is a little deployed to the driver, the IDRIVE multimedia system is convenient and finally has a logical and understandable interface, the seats are dense and comfortable at the same time, with good side support and memory for two options.

The central display with a diagonal of 8.8 inches pleases high resolution and contrast even in sunny weather, and its dimensions allow you to use the navigation with comfort or withdraw the image immediately from two side chambers fixed on the front bumper. Our treshi was also a road sign recognition system, which works well even in Russia.

And the new treshka became much more practical: on the rear seats are now spacious, the trunk has become even more (by 20 liters, 480 liters), and you can open it by spending a foot under the rear bumper. That's just fuel consumption is not happy yet - more than 17 liters with daily urban trips. Let's see what will happen next.
