And there are cars that do not allow to relax, constantly provoking active actions. They are called relatives. Among the relatives are completely angry like this Audi.

 

I will take the courage to argue that the beauty of the machine lies precisely in its laconic and physically strong design. Here it is, the quintessence of the industrial style of the car as a relative of hydraulic presses and industrial fans! And the name is just right for him. Let Europeans under the abbreviation TT understand the name of the traditional British rally Tourist Trophy, in Russia it has a completely different meaning. Let's just say, combat. Anyway, studying this machine, it is difficult to get rid of the impression that it has some relation to power structures. The indestructible, massive forms characteristic of ground armored vehicles, the salon, half consisting of winged metal, and the color of the body is a suitable ball, adopted in many military fleets. Looking at the TT, for some reason you do not feel the slightest doubt that this car simply does not know how to drive poorly and will give sensations an order of magnitude stronger than in statics in motion. As well as there is no doubt that his character is by no means flexible, and this horseman will still have to go around.

  

The planting process resembles a fall in the cockpit of a racing machine. It is cockpit, because the seat is located low, and the sides are high, which causes a sense of security. The chair is unobtrusively, but confidently fixes the body. The black-silver interior palette also leads to thoughts about racing exploits. And the abundance of metal does not cold, but just the opposite, the excitement of the excitement, the student's pulse. However, before making a magical movement with a key, I would like to note a number of non -standard solutions used by the creators of TT. So, the pressure of the air supplied through the deflectors is regulated by the rotation of their rims. But the pens of climate control is useless, they move right and left to one click, stepping steps steps steps. The head structure of the onion audio system (it is better to hear it once than to read about it a hundred times) hidden under a stylish aluminum panel with the inscription TT. Well, it remains to fasten with belts to almost put on a portup, about to go on a combat mission. Go around like that.
 
The description of the mechanical part of the Audi TT inspires respect. Under the hood, the Immortal 1.8-liter Volkswagen motor, which was bent for two decades. Once he started with 70 horses, and here, thanks to the turbine and interculers, it gives out as much as 225. The mechanical gearbox is six-speed, all the gears are power. The permanent drive is full with a multi -disc clutch of Haldex, which regulates the size of the torque transmitted to the rear wheels. Plus, the EDL electronic system that simulates the locking of the front inter -coil differential in the braking of a slippage by the sliding wheel.
If you compare the sensations from the trip to TT Roadster, then probably with races on the cards. Here you have understandable dimensions, scanty rolls, and heavy steering wheel. And, of course, a stupefying feeling of complete merger with space and machine. Above his head, the sky, and his hem ruthlessly thrown out with a metal knife of the hood. Avalanne of emotions! After getting used to the machine, you begin to determine the speed by the degree of madness of the wind. After 120 km/h, he does not leave for a second alone, disheveled his hair and whistling on the mirrors and the upper edge of the windshield. Abroad 160 km/h the wind becomes the only thing you hear and feel. Another important mark is 180 km/h, to overcome which further acceleration becomes sluggish: a car with a lowered top begins with aerodynamics problems.

   

From frantic acceleration, the level of adrenaline in the blood goes off scale. The moments conducted in anticipation of the inclusion of the turbine are deliberately calculated so that they can be called sweet, and not disappointing. There is a special buzz in this, moving on to the next program, to know that now you will survive a powerful push in the back again, which will knock out all thoughts out of your head and leave them somewhere behind. And the turbine will once again caress the hearing with a sharp exhalation, getting rid of excess air.
 
The touched procedure is implemented extremely effectively: the transmission reduces the loss of time for useless wheel slipping to a minimum. An exemplary clear and short -flowing gear shift mechanism and an equally short clutch pedal allow us to play additional fractions of a second. However, in order to really play them, it will be necessary to understand the character of the car and the well -known skill is slightly delayed with the transition to the next gear, and the engine has already rested against the wall of the red sector of the tachometer, tearing the rate of acceleration. The car is generally quite demanding on the choice of transmission: put on the fourth instead of the third and immediately fall out of the turbozone, for a few moments dooming your pain to the fate of the turtle. But you paralyze the will of the neighbors in the flow with a low -frequency growl of the engine, which the exhaust system spoils only at low speeds.
 
The steering wheel here, as already mentioned, is quite heavy. But this severity is joy: this is how TT maintains a connection with the driver, providing him with all the information about the state of coating wheels. And the algorithm for changing the returning force on the steering wheel is very successful. The mutual understanding of a person and car is complete! The only easy misunderstanding arises at a fast input in a steep turn: the Roger slows down a little with the transition from the straight line to the arc, so the steering wheel has to be argued first, and then adjust the trajectory.
 
The work of the brake system is close to the ideal, and, most importantly, its mechanisms are resistant to high temperatures, a series of intense braking from high speeds practically does not affect their ability to work. The car suspension is unlikely to be fair to blame stool, but it reacts regularly to the road surface defects, missing only the smallest ones.

  

Yes, I almost forgot. Audi TT, of course, has a soft top that rises in two doses. However, he deprives the car of a fair amount of external attractiveness and will not allow you to experience all those experiences that Rogster fully awards. But having once felt like a psychic, it is so insulting to return to the world of ordinary feelings!
