Developing the theme of the car for a pleasant pastime, the motor cannot ignore the noticeable (besides all -wheel drive) representative of this group of vehicles. Again, the velvet season is not far off, and, given this, a good undertaking is to go with your beloved (the third - extra!) On a trip on a real German relative.
I did not decide for too long which body should have Audi TT, which I had to test - you could take both the compartment and the class. Of course, the choice fell on an open car - summer after all. Moskvich 400/420A played a role here and many years of experience with the convertible: the difference is 50 years old, and it was curious to compare the sensations.
Roadster was painted with black metallic, so unloved by photographers. An employee of the salon kindly acquainted with the main feature of the car - an automatic folding tent. Near the central mirror on the frame of the windshield there is a special handle. If you throw it back and turn it, the gap between the tent frame and the glass frame are formed. This is done with the left hand, the right presses on the three -position key on the transmission tunnel, and - let there be light! The awning left for the seats, or rather, for impressive pipes that will save your head if the car is turning over. And behind them, a retractable transparent panel lurked, preventing a draft with a lowered (!) Ten and raised door glass - was convinced of his own experience. The reverse operation is no more complicated, it is only required to slightly serve the handle on the tent and turn it, when the edge of the tent touches the glass frame. Thus, it is combined, pulled, fixes, while the car from the side becomes like a German helmet. The review worsens, but an intimate environment is created in the cabin. An important role in this case is also played by a proprietary audio installation - Audi Concert, along with acoustics, Bose sound very decent.
Panoramic lateral mirrors with electroregulations and optimal curvature surfaces help to navigate in space. But still, one of the main advantages of open bodies is the opportunity to get rid of small rear windows!
The interior leitmotif is aluminum, which frames everything in more or less round. Aluminum circles are on the transmission tunnel near the base of the gearbox lever, in the center of the steering wheel equipped with a pillow, on four climate installation air ducts, the number of luminous LEDs depends on the intensity of its work). In addition, aluminum decorates the neck of the gas tank, naturally opening from the cabin.
A rare case for a modern auto design: the central console (in colloquial - beard) is indeed a console, i.e. protruding forward, fixed on the back. On the sides of it, two diagonal beams made of matte aluminum, designed to add stiffness to the entire interior - both visually and actually, go to her tunnel of the transmission. There are inserts from soft materials on the lids - in case of contact with the legs of the riders in steep turns.
It's time to go on - we remove the roof once again. We take out a prefix case for the tent from a small trunk and fix it with latches in open door openings. By the way, a Muscovite-Kabriolet has a similar case: a large tarpaulin bag, fastened with leather belts ...
Seats with comfortable side ledges and headrests accept us as relatives. All switches are at hand, a steering wheel, covered with gray -green skin and suede, is beyond praise. Review, however, leaves much to be desired, and a high waist line creates the feeling that you are sitting in a deep bath.
Most of all I liked to go with raised door windows - some kind of isolated space is preserved, and at the same time there are no barriers to the sun and air. The noise of the ongoing air flow practically does not bother up to 90-100 km/h. We are moving to pleasant music - I took with me an appropriate occasion to the cassette with art Blake.
The attention of road users is riveted to the Audi TT, and, using it, you can step aside - the benefit of engine capabilities and transmission are enough. The red zone on the tachometer dial begins after 6600 rpm., The third gear can tell the car excellent acceleration to about 130 km/h, with the inclusion of the fourth, the speed continues to increase with the same intensity. I was somewhat carried away by a dynamic ride and only after a while I realized that I did not switch above the fourth. Shame - there are six programs! This means that a 20-valve turbocharged 1.8-liter motor in this version of the machine gives not 150, but 180 horses. That's where such renunciation, and at the same time, is an uncompromising bass sound of a perfectly configured release. The settings of the engine and suspension are perfectly adapted to Russian road conditions. ABS reminded of herself only once - at a speed of about 160 km/h, when I abruptly slowed down to the floor ...
In the shade of the treiler are with a radar of road guardians. The device is directed in our direction - the traffic police made a rack. Suspecting her of unkind intentions, I swing on neutral under 80 km/h. The police seem to already look forward to the profitable exchange of blue receipts for money -backets. The steering wheel in the right row is closer to the employees, and I turn on the third with a decent bit for 10 meters and leave only a cloud of dust to inspectors. The exchange did not take place, I’m going further ...
Challenge trees are found every now and then - a hurricane worked, but the asphalt is perfectly washed with a downpour, and it's time to check the car for controllability. There is no doubt about the choice of the route: the favorite Volokolamsk highway, winding and hilly, in addition recently they put a fresh coating there - there are no markings in many areas ...
39 km to the plaintra surrender in 28 minutes, while there is neither stress nor fatigue. I drink tea in the village of Velyaminovo and again look at the salon, noting the quality of the finish and admiring the designer lotions. Audi TT is simply doomed to many years of commercial success, and someday will become a decoration of collections. True, I would add dials to the instrument shield and make them more individual. However, this is a matter of taste. Otherwise, everything is fine. The maneuverability and handling of the car correspond to the needs of most drivers, while otherwise you can recommend the corresponding tuning. In Russia, it is relatively inexpensive, and the quality is not inferior to the German.
Audi TT is quite suitable for everyday use, but still this is the second or third car. An extraordinary appearance is the reason why you can’t go to a business meeting on TT. But in other situations, its owner will be perceived as a person with taste and reasonable element of non -conformism in character.
The reverse road seems shorter. Bill Haley sings in the speakers - it is not possible to go calmly, which leads to a meeting with the traffic police. The fine is a fresh motor number. The glasses are lowered, the light of xenon headlights flashes the flowing twilight, on the speedometer - 150 km/h ... The inspector who has hung up to the nearest traffic police post is bending. In parting, he says: but here he will not just blow his cap - he will look, he will demolish the tower!.
