How nice it is at least one day to be David backham! I didn’t take an autograph after a well -played match. And so, wherever I drive and stop, I felt the enthusiastic glances of onlookers.
 



And all because on this warm June day I realized that a person was experiencing, getting behind the wheel of a work of art called Audi Q7 worth 130,000 euros. It is like an eagle soar over vanity and everyday life. In Ingolstad, they created the largest SUV of Europe. Its length exceeds 5 m.
 

The creators of the Q7 assure that they subjected the car to all conceivable and unthinkable trials, having traveled on it tens of thousands of kilometers along velvet German roads and sandy grocery boies of Africa, as well as the snow of insidious Arctic. Of course, I trust such respected people, so I did not repeat the path traveled by them. In the end, the design of all the papers would take so much time ... And the roads of our city and the region will be quite reduced for testing Q7.
 

I will not talk about the appearance of the car for a long time, because there are photos. For those for whom the form is more important than the content, I advise you to look at them more attentively. It seemed to me that the car looks too aggressive for the representative class SUV. In addition, if the radiator grille on the new six looks organic and stylistically accurate, then on the seven it is like a redevelopment boy. But now I want to dwell on other nuances, namely: on modern security systems. Still, it is assumed that Q7 will carry expensive bodies.
 

So, the Q7 set a new generation of ESP - the electronic system for maintaining exchange rate stability. It includes an anti -lock system with an electronic distribution of the brake forces EBV and a brake assistant (a mechanism that enhances brake forces during emergency braking). Talking by phone during a trip or fans to switch radio channels will probably like the fact that when sharply braking in an emergency situation, ESP turns on the light alarm, preventing drivers of the following cars.

 

The q7 passive security systems are also the ASR anti -circulation system and the electronic blocking of the EDS differential along with the system for reducing the overstating moment. The advanced adaptive cruise control allows you to maintain a speed of 0 to 200 km/h and control the distance to the walking car in front of the radar system. When, for example, the road situation suddenly changes, and the car is inhibited in front of you, the Q7 radar instantly transmits information to the computer, which, acting on gas and brake pedals, slows down or stops Audi (depending on the road situation).
 

Thanks to the radars in Q7, the functions of tracking dead zones next to the car and warning about a possible collision are used for the first time.

The rear view camera is called to help the driver, the image of which is transferred to the screen installed on the central panel. Moreover, not only the image is displayed on the screen: the computer draws the recommended trajectory of movement. Several times this function helped me too. Although, I admit, I could not refuse from turning my head. The habit is a great power.
 

My colleagues often compare Q7 and eight comfort. In principle, this is true. It is obvious to me that the seven is not tormented on the road, accelerating and panting, slowing down, and floats along it, like an expensive yacht - along the blue and gentle sea.
 

So, the creators of the Q7 reached their goal: the creation of an SUV, close in their characteristics to the Sedan of the representative class. And it doesn’t matter that, say, in contrast to Cayenne and Touareg one -platforms, Q7 does not have a decreasing transmission and blocking of differentials. Well, in fact, the seven was created for asphalt and medium off -road. And for this, there is enough constant all -wheel drive and air suspension.

  

Well, where does David Beckham? Yes, just a SUV was stolen from him, and Audi presented him with almost the first released Q7. The football player of the England national team is delighted with the car. So it turns out that a famous personality has become even more popular thanks to the novelty. Well, or vice versa. In general, on one June day I was just as popular.
 

-I wonder if there is something that is not in Kew-Sedym? Here, like in a folding penknife with a Swiss flag on a red handle, there is everything that can be useful, and even what is unlikely to ever be needed: from a third row of seats to a help system for rebuilding Audi Side Assist
 

Under the hood Audi Q7 is the most powerful 4.2-liter 350-horsepower gasoline engine with a direct injection system. It is more than enough for high -speed movement along the highway or city streets, but the enjoying from the dispersal is less here than in Porsche Cayenne. The reactions to the movement of the gas pedal are slightly delayed, but only until the checkpoint selector is transferred to the pseudo -sports mode S. Then the engine is longing longer, the tachometer arrow does not fall below the zone of maximum torque, and the entire process is accompanied by a pleasant low rumble of the exhaust system.
 

There were no complaints about the steering of Servotronic before. There are no them now: on the finished skin, the wheel and sharpness of reactions change depending on the speed of movement - as well as the height of the car (unless, of course, pneumatic pendants are instead of spring). The clearance when moving on the asphalt coating is 180 mm. But it is worth exceeding this mark, as the height will decrease to 165 mm, and when the speedometer will be 161 km/h - and at all to the minimum 150 mm. And if you go to Off-Road and Lift modes, the clearance can be increased to 205 and even the maximum 240 mm.

 

The architecture of the air suspension is borrowed from Touareg. The front repeats Volkswagen fully, and the back is partially: here a number of parts are made of aluminum, and the angle of inclination of the air -resistant has become slightly larger. In practice, the Q7 behavior can change under the influence of the Multi Media Interface buttons and, accordingly, the air suspension control mechanism.
 

The latest generation of the ESP course stability system with additional non -road functions is responsible for active safety in the Audi Q7. The system integrated the ABS, the system of distribution of brake efforts (EBV), anti-circus (ASR), differential electronic lock (EDS), OffoRAD hydraulic assistant, Roll-STROMMENTION: Mining Assistant, Employment Assistance, Breeding Steaming, Procepa Stabilization Function and a number of other systems.
 

In the Audi Q7 in an abundance of various gadgets that facilitate the life of the driver. One of them is a help system for rebuilding. LEDs are mounted in the lateral mirrors that signal that at a distance of 50 m the extreme stripes are free for overtaking. If not, the indicators will start blinking, warning about danger. An unconditional plus of the system is getting rid of dead zones. When the car moves in reverse, the side mirrors bend down, showing the driver of the zone at the rear bumper. And if you turn on Drive again, the mirrors will return to its original position.

 

Outside of this material there were several dozen pleasant bells and whistles that abounded by our (extremely equipped) test car. To try each of them, you need time. But on the Audi Q7 it is not a pity to spend it
 

- When the Western craftsmen inlaid from the inside with gold and valuable breeds of the Maybach tree, it seemed to me that it was megate: well, would all these planks look good? But, sitting in Q7, I realized that the planks could look! And not only gold. Finishing with a dark wood and matte metal on the doors, the light skin of the cabin, two -tone - shades of coffee with milk - the panel in such an interior is worth living. And even more so - to ride.
 

At first I was impressed by the abundance of buttons, 12V sockets and stars for glasses. They are hidden even in the armrest of the rear seat and in pockets on all doors. There are special buttons for everything: to start the car without inserting the key; to open the glove compartment; To lower the back door. This, by the way, is very convenient: after all, like most large cars, the fifth door is quite heavy.
 

For a long time she could not determine which button disables the air conditioner. If everything is obvious behind (there is a standard on/off, then on the control panel, as it turned out, the air conditioner is disconnected with a long press of the energy -saving button. I would never have guessed for anything - the inquisitive male mind helped. Well, I, of course, could not Do not grab the visor: is there a mirror there? It turned out, there is: with a protective lid and backlight. And the visor itself has cunningly laid out into 2 parts, protecting from the sun and from the side and the front. The thing!

 

Another very important point is the presence of MMI and the video camera that clearly demonstrates what is happening when moving back. Men failed to evaluate this wealth, preferring to rely on their own sensations. I trusted what was happening on the screen immediately and completely - all the more so since the smart device draws a wheel movement scheme. And in the event of a dangerously close obstacle, Parctronics began to squeak disgustingly. As a result, the U -turn on a narrow road was given to me without problems - this is important because I did not feel impressive dimensions far from immediately. The rear -view mirrors also behaved smartly: when moving back, they automatically fell at such an angle that the rear wheels could be seen. In a word, in this car it is quite comfortable to drive both forward and back.
 

Perhaps the Q7 itself and the additional options that we got allow us to even make too much. Say, I consider an excessive function of recognition of the owner when approaching. The car opens - and who will close? Maybe I just like that, stand nearby, getting in love with my favorite property, came up!

 

In general, this car is above any sexual issues is a sort of unisex. That is, to be honest, I can’t imagine why a woman may need a long car with a folding additional row of seats. But does it make sense to talk about a certain average lady, with her theoretical needs? I would not refuse such a machine under any circumstances. And an additional row - and let it be!
