The Audi A4 of the previous three generations were very noticeable cars and gained considerable popularity around the world. The car we tested was equipped with a 1.8-liter engine seasoned with a turbocharged and patented TSI fuel injection system, which issues 160 hp. And an impressive torque of 250 nm. All this power of the latest technologies is transmitted to the drive front wheels using the latest Multitronic Variator. Due to the use of new brands of steel in the construction of the body, which have excellent characteristics of strength and weight, A4, compared with the previous generation, was to lose weight by 10% and, as a result, demonstrate excellent dynamics and handling with all the above technique.
Also, our test car was equipped with the Audi Drive Select, which gives the pilot the ability to choose a car behavior with a simple press of the button: from comfortable to dynamic.
And what is very pleasant, in this case, the transition to the Dynamic mode is not limited, as on most of these systems, only by changing the operation algorithm, but makes all important nodes involved in the formation of a more dynamic driving mode. The steering wheel is filled with pleasant heaviness, becoming more acute and acquiring a more accurate feedback, the suspension becomes collected, and the gas pedal is more sensitive to the slightest wishes of the driver.
But in the absence of many optional systems, such as, for example, Audi Drive Select, the new Audi A4 will give odds to many competitors in dynamics, comfort and ergonomics.
