The Saab 900 model (SAAB 900) was a brand bestseller, making up almost 75% of the company's sales volume. Since the emergence of a new generation in 1993, sales of the model 900 constantly increased. The model was at the very bottom of the SAAB model range, and was one of the most affordable proposals among the three and five-door hatchbacks. The latest generation of the model was the first SAAB car, created under the influence of General Motors, acquired 50% of the capital of the SAAB automotive division in 1990. Recently, the company noted the 50th anniversary of the production of cars. Saab is a pioneer of the use of turbocharged engines on ordinary cars, namely the 900th series.
