Mercury entered the minivan market in 1992 with the Mercury Villager model (Mercury Vilajer), Nissan Quest. Both cars are produced at the Mercury plant in Evon Lake, Ohio. External restyling Villager survived in 1996, and, again, in 1998. The 1999 model is distinguished by a new design, more powerful V6 engine and a more spacious interior.
