Initially, the model called Maserati Quattroporte appeared in the Maserati line at the beginning of the 60s, and became one of the fastest four-door sedans of his time. The company returned to the US market in 2002, and in 2004 revived the Quattroporte model, releaseing a high-speed luxury sedan. With a design from Pininfarina, a 4-door car helped this Italian brand to become profitable. Fiat bought Maserati from Ferrari in 2005, although cooperation with the former owner continues: Ferrari produces engines for Quattroporte and Granturismo models.
