Initially, Honda S2000 (Honda C2000) was created on the basis of the SSM Concept-Kara (CPM) presented at the 1995 Tokyo Auto Show, transmitting the spirit of the legendary sports car - the first for Honda - S500. According to the company's statements, the racing heritage is reflected in each aspect of the design of S2000, its manageability and running qualities. In 2007, a racing version of CR appeared.
