Honda came out to the highly competitive market of SUVs in 1993 with their Honda Passport (Honda Passport) model produced at the Isuzu plant in Lafayette, Indiana. Production of its own version of the already existing product made it possible to quickly enter the SUV segment. The Passport continued in Indiana continued its existence in the second generation of 1998, which has increased space, increased comfort and increased power. A distinctive feature of the model was the level of comfort and equipment characteristic of the highest price category cars. Honda and Isuzu cooperate in many market segments, producing identical SUVs in North America and cars in Japan.
