For the first time, the name Cadillac Eldorado (Cadillac Eldorado) was used by Cadillac for a limited series of convertibles released in 1953, and marked the new stylistic direction of the car brand. The 1956 convertible was called Biarritz, and a two-door coupe - Seville. Eldorado Brougham 1957 possessed the features that were ordinary for today's cars: two pairs of headlight headlamps, electrically regulating seats with memory, automatically locked doors, air suspension, a foot parking brake automatically disabled when the transmission is turned on. "Finns" on the wings were an important element of the design of Eldorado throughout the 50s, but at the beginning of the 60s lost their relevance. The new generation of the model was published in 1967, and was the first front-wheel drive Cadillac. The last year of serial production of convertible Eldorado became the 1976th, although in 1984 a limited batch was published in 2000 copies of the Eldorado Biarritz convertible. In 1992, the next generation of the model, distinguished by sharp angular lines, which includes the Eldorado Touring Coupe coupe. Eldorado continues to stay for a Cadillac platform for presentations of new technologies, such as, for example, an explanatory massager on the 1999 model ETC.
