The World Premiere of BMW Z8 (BMW Z8) took place in 1999 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, although the history of the model began long before, even at the beginning of the 50s, when BMW introduced the model 507 with the design from Kurt Albrecht Hertz (Court Albrecht Groertz). The 507th had a long hood, a characteristic grille and a V8 engine. In 1997, Tokyo BMW showed the concept of Z07, which preserved many features of the 507th. The public perfectly accepted him, and the company decided to let the Z07 in production, renaming it to Z8.
